We were at the Marquis San Francisco Fetish Ball on Saturday, July 18, 2009. For once we just went out to party, so we don't have any event photos -- just good memories! The event, even though it was at the smallish Supperclub SF, can certainly be considered a success, and we hope it will revitalize the SF Bay Area fetish scene. Violet Blue writes about it on SFGate.com:

Fetish fashion at its most extreme heights, combines couture and sexualized styles that would make Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs' fantasies seem trite. And that's only part of what makes fetish so fascinating -- and hot. In recent years, fetish fashion has become more and more accessible, is more readily seen on catwalks and Hollywood films, and has increasing mainstream appeal. Until recently, Marquis was only available in certain adults-only stores -- now, you can now find it at Borders. Fetish has landed in middle America, so it's only fitting that the Marquis Fetish Ball kicks up its ponygirl hooves and high, rubberized heels in San Francisco for a night.

Meanwhile, SFWeekly.com has a slide-show of some of the shows and views of the party-goers. Even though we didn't take pictures at the event, here's one of me in my favourite catsuits!

The International Ms Leather 2009 event (IMsL) this year was not just good (and sexy!) fun, but I think it really succeeded at one of its most important goals: reconnecting friends and leading to the planning, brainstorming, and day-dreaming that will move forward the leather and BDSM communities for at least the next year. The winner was Miss Maggie Mayhem, a local sex/BDSM/fetish/spanking blogger, performer and model. Of all the girls out there, Miss Mayhem best captured the Bettie spirit with flashing eyes, playful grin, and a very well-fitted bullet bra and opera-length black leather gloves. She was loudly cheered by the usual rowdy and exuberant BaGG crowd.

Stefanos points out: "Maggie Mayhem, the ultimate winner was in the top three. But why? She was an image of Bettie that made us wobble at the knees. Her outfit was vintage not just "vintage looking." We had a great time at the Melbourne "HellFire Resurrection" fetish ball, Friday November 23rd 2008 at Chasers in South Yarra, Kink-E Magazine. Besides hanging out with our dear friends Ms. Ariel and her man Rubrluvr, we met some wonderful Australian perverts and made many friends. We also went out to Abode, and it's now our favourite place to play -- to bad it's on the other side of the world!
